Olaniyi Stephen, who’s serving as a Personal Assistant to His Excellency Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi, former deputy governor and PDP Chieftain in Oyo State has congratulated his Boss, His Excellency Barrister Hazeem Gbolarumi on his birthday, describing the former deputy Governor as a courageous leader who is loved and admired for his mastery of grassroots politics.
Stephen, in a congratulatory message personal signed and released to the Press today in Ibadan, described his Boss as a patriotic Oyo leader who defied partisan borders and embraced statesmanship in his sundry contributions to the development of the State.
He described the former deputy Governor as a leader who has an undying passion for Oyo development as evident in some of the projects he executed during his tenure as Deputy Governor of the State.
While describing Gbolarumi as a thoroughbred politician, who connects easily with the people, Stephen said the former deputy Governor is also well respected for always speaking truth to power.
He said Gbolarumi exudes the virtues of valiance, courage and resilience for which Ekiti people are well regarded.
“ We celebrate a distinguished leader, former deputy Governor Gbolarumi today and remain thankful for his undying love for the state. Evidently Gbolarumi has chosen Oyo development over and above partisan interest and we celebrate him for this statesmanship.
“On behalf of my friends and people of Ibadan North local government, I congratulate this illustrious son of Land of Honour on his birthday and pray that the Almighty God grant him many years in good health and undiluted joy.”
As a golden fish, which cannot be hidden, Gbolarumi within short period served as deputy governor in ministries under late Governor Christopher Alao Akala. Having proved to be a trusted and committed manager of manpower and resources, his people made him as a substantial leader in the state.
“Gbolarumi’s input in the growth and development of Oyo State during his tenure as Deputy Governor is a clear testament to his visionary leadership. His developmental strides in the State are noticeable in different areas of endeavour to date.
”His penchant for diligence and contributions toward the development of Oyo’s socio-economic and political landscape based on his service to the nation in different capacities in the past without any iota of doubt still retain him as a bonafide leader in the state.
“On this occasion of his birthday, I wish ‘my Boss’ by the grace of God, good health and wisdom, as he continues to render more services to our dear State,” Stephen said.
