The Member representing Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep Abass Adigun, popularly known as Agboworin, has congratulated Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta State, Alhaji Dawud Makanjuola Akinola on the new chieftaincy title bestowed on him.
Alhaji Dawud was installed today as Aare of Ibadanland by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun, for his landmark achievements in the state and beyond.
Agboworin, who chairs the Committee on Narcotic Drugs, in a congratulatory message personally signed, described the business mogul, who is popularly known as De-Damak, as a highly respected personality, who has made impact across all human endeavours.
The lawmaker maintained that the new title will encourage Alhaji Makanjuola to use his connection, being a silent achiever and philanthropist, to better the lot of the people of the ancient city.
He equally commended the decision Olubadan of Ibadanland as well as Olubadan-in-council, in the selection of Alhaji Dawud for the exalted position, saying the timing was auspicious.

“You have, over the years, been a silent philanthropist whose nature won’t allow to make noise about. Your philanthropic gestures transcend religion, ethnicity, sex and race, and you have so remained an enviable leader.
“Undoubtedly, apart from the fact that the title is well-deserved, the recognition confirmed you as a highly respected personality, who has made a great deal of impact in human endeavours not only in Oyo state, but also in the country at large.
“I have no doubt that your new title will make you use your connection as a silent philanthropist to better the lot of the people of the Ibadanland and Oyo State.”
