The former board chairman of Oyo State Water Corporation, Hon. Moroof Akinwande has commiserated with the families of individuals who lost their lives and properties to the massive explosion at Adeyi Street, old Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
The erstwhile federal lawmaker sympathized and lauded the executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr Seyi Abiodun Makinde prompt response to rescue the victims, and their properties, which according to him resulted in minimizing the catatrophic impacts of the explosion and drastically contail the further spread of the incidents.
He urged the good people of the state to be security-conscious and vigilant as they carry out their lawful businesses.
“It is with a heavy heart that I extend my deepest condolences to the residents of Ibadan in the wake of the tragic explosion that occurred in the Bodija and Sango areas. This unfortunate event has caused irreparable and irreplaceable loss of lives and properties to many families and individuals in the community. “
“I am profoundly saddened by the loss of life and the injuries sustained by numerous residents. My thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of those who have been affected by this calamity. “
