The Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Tuesday forwarded the names of Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran and Bar. AbdulRahman Abiodun AbdulRaheem to the State House of Assembly for confirmation as Board Chairmen
The Governor is seeking the confirmation of Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran as the Chairman of Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB, while Bar. AbdulRahman Abiodun AbdulRaheem is being considered as the Chairman, Board of Oyo State Education Trust Fund.
The two letters were read on the floor of the House by the Speaker, Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin.
The letter reads in part “The nomination of Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran is in compliance with Section 4 of Oyo State Compulsory and Free Universal Basic Education Law, 2005. The House is further informed that the nominee is a seasoned and experienced educationist as required by the law.
” The nomination of Bar. AbdulRahman Abiodun AbdulRaheem is in compliance with Section 12 of Oyo State Educational Trust Fund Law, 2016. The House is further invited to note that the integrity, knowledge, expertise and experience of the nominee has been considered.”
The House directed its committees on Education (Basic and Secondary) and Tertiary Institutions, Science and Technology to submit their reports on the screening and confirmation of the two nominees in one week.
