Oyo state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has congratulated the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III and the 30th Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola, upon officially receiving their staffs of Offices from Governor Seyi Makinde.
This was as NULGE expressed its readiness to fully key into the visions of the two monarchs in exploring their vast networks of development partners to their respective domains towards making life more meaningful for their subjects while describing their developmental agenda for their respective domains as lofty.
The umbrella body of all local government workers in the state equally commended Makinde for strengthening the traditional institution and showing the needed commitment to deepen relationship that would engender more development at the grassroots.
President of NULGE in Oyo state, Comrade Ayobami Adeogun, made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan on Thursday, December 21.
Describing the two presentation of staffs of office to the two monarchs as significant milestone in the administration of Governor Makinde, Comrade Adeogun expresses confidence that their reigns would usher more prosperity and even development into their respective domains.
He added that NULGE in Oyo state and particularly in Ogbomoso and Oke-ogun zones are specially elated with the completed kingship process as it signifies a promising future for the body in its struggle for a more robust local government administration being the closest to people at the grassroots.
“The official presentation of staffs of office to the 21st Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III and the 30th Aseyin of Iseyin, His Royal Majesty, Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola, particularly typifies a brighter and promising future for NULGE in Oyo state in our struggle for an improved local government administration.
” Oyo NULGE as one of the critical stakeholders in Oyo in labor related matters as affecting workers well-being at the grassroots, would avail itself the opportunity to strengthen collaboration between local government authorities and the traditional institutions particularly these two highly respected traditional rulers.
“It is our belief as a body of locL government workers that this harmonious relationship will facilitate socio-economic development, improved governance, and enhanced livelihoods for workers and residents in Ogbomoso and Oke-ogun zones.
“As an organization that is forward looking and futuristic in championing courses that promote effective leadership at all levels especially at the local government level, Oyo state chapter of NULGE views this completed process for the coveted thrones as an opportunity for renewed progress and unity within Ogbomoso and Iseyin.
“We wish His Imperial Majesty and His Royal Highness a successful reign filled with wisdom, empathy, and prosperity for all as we look forward to a deeper collaborations and synergies with the two traditional offices.” Comrade Adeogun said.
