The Iyaloja General of Oyo State, Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo Nurudeen, has been appointed as the Life Matron of the National Union of Journalists Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State Chapter (NUJ BCOS Chapel). This prestigious decoration took place at the End of the Year Get-together of the Union held at NUJ BCOS Hall, Ile Akede, Ibadan.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of eminent personalities, including the Chairman of BCOS Ibadan, Chief Mrs Dotun Olaitan, and a former Secretary to the State Government, Chief Bisi Adesola. The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo State Chapter, Comrade Demola Babalola, and elder statesman, Amb. Yemi Farounbi, also graced the occasion.
The life matron designation was conferred upon Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo Nurudeen in recognition of her outstanding contributions to journalism and her unwavering support for the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State. The decoration was a symbolic gesture of appreciation for her commitment to the welfare and progress of journalists in the state.
The Iyaloja General expressed her gratitude for the honor bestowed upon her by NUJ BCOS Chapel. In her response, she presented a framed greetings card to the Chairperson of BCOS, extending warm wishes for Christmas and a prosperous New Year to the staff and management.
The event was attended by secretaries of the 12 clusters of Markets Associations in Oyo State, Iyalojas, Babalojas, and numerous traders, creating a vibrant atmosphere of celebration and unity.
