In a press statement issued on Friday evening, the Market-Traders Group of Secretaries extends counsel to a factional Ibadan Mogaji group, urging them to refrain from interfering in matters concerning the Iyaloja General of Oyo State, as this position is of paramount importance to all traders in the state and transcends regional boundaries.
The council of Obas, including the Olubadan, Alaafin, Olugbon, Soun, Aseyin, and the Oyo Oba Council, has officially coronated Princess Folashade Azeezat Abeo NURUDEEN as the Iyaloja General of Oyo State. It is emphasized that the ultimate authority on this issue lies with the state government.
During the process that led to the installation of Alhaji Yekini Abass as the Babaloja General Of Oyo State, various royal fathers in Oyo State, including the late Alaafin of Oyo, the late Soun of Ogbomosho, the late Aseyin of Iseyin, and the Olugbon Of Ile Igbon, sent in their consent. The same occurred during the installation of Princess Folashade Abeo Nurudeen as the de-facto Iyaloja General Of Oyo State by the late Alaafin, with the late Soun, and the late Olubadan, all of whom Ibadan Mogajis subscribed to their Imperial authority, sending their consent.
