According to the United Nations, good governance is assessed by the eight elements of Participation, Rule of Law, Transparency, Responsiveness, Consensus Oriented, Equity and Inclusiveness, Effectiveness and Efficiency, and Accountability.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Iseyin has demonstrated the attributes of good governance by picking credible and competent candidates both at the Executive arm of government and the state lawmakers.
Since 1999 Iseyin has never experienced swift development as we are experiencing today, This glorious dynamic in recent development was as a result of the selfless service and humane capabilities of the People’s Democratic Party’s good heart toward the development of our constituency.
Despite the voting power of the wonderful people of Iseyin we have never been favoured by the government in terms of allocation of sustainable infrastructure than this political dispensation governed by our great party PDP.
Beyond a reasonable doubt, PDP has restored the hope of the Good people of Iseyin with the hope laced by Omi-Tuntun’s good governance. Indeed there is a shower of blessing of upshot, drizzling, and raining on Iseyin LG.
The following are the initiatives facilitated in Iseyin by the PDP government:
- Rehabilitation of Moniya-Iseyin Road
- Construction of Oyo-Iseyin Road
- Construction of Iseyin-Ogbomosho Road
- College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, LAUTECH ISEYIN CAMPUS
*Renovation of Iseyin Township Hall, to mention but a few.
This is simply to highlight some of the projects spearheaded by our party into impact in Iseyin and through these deeds Iseyin has been propelled to be the third biggest city in Oyo state and a gateway to Oke-Ogun in its exclusivity.
People’s Democratic Party has laid good examples of good, and enviable governance which other party can’t beat the records.
As one of the major political parties in Africa, we will continue to defend democracy as the adherent to giving back quantifiable representation to the masses. Under our supervision anticipate more developmental initiatives in our dear town and constituency at large.
