The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Atiba local government for the forthcoming local government election, Hon. Wahab Waliu Adetunji (a.k.a WABKEM) has commended the executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde on the sustainable Actions for Economic Recovery (SAfER) food package, to reduce the hardship occasion by the fuel subsidy removal.
Food package distribution kicked off today in Oyo at Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III mini-stadium, Ode-Aremo, where His Excellency assured everyone that 200,000 households would benefit from the food relief package tagged “SAfER”.
In a statement released and made available to Heritage Echo news this evening, Hon. Wabkem has fondly called lauded Governor Makinde on the flag off of the relief program for the poorest of the poor where His Excellency stated that each package contained a Bag of 10kg Rice, 5kg bag of beans, 5kg bag of yam flour and 1kg bottle of vegetable oil.
The statement reads in part;

” I am expressing my sincere appreciation for your efforts in coordinating and implementing the ongoing SAfER program in Oyo State, under your able leadership”.
“Your dedication in addressing the needs of the citizens and ensuring their well-being is highly commendable, as you clearly stated that the pacesetter State will go for SAfER rather than in way of palliatives which means to treat symptoms and leave the main cause”.
“This has demonstrated your commitment to the welfare of the people, which has been the cardinal plan of your agenda as well as a beacon of hope during these challenging times. The provision of these food items enables the less privileged members of our community to have access to the necessities required for their sustenance.
Furthermore, I must acknowledge the efficient and transparent manner in which the program is being executed, The orderly distribution process, conducted with utmost fairness, exemplified your commitment to ensuring that the resources provided reach the poorest of the poor and directed towards transportation, healthcare, SMEs loan and food security.
