Weekend Gist: Olorunsogo, Oorelope, Saki East LGAs Stands Still For Gov Makinde Second Term -DIKKO Boasts

As 2023 general elections is approaching and the campaign trail of Engr. Seyi Makinde is moving here and there to dish out to all the agenda for the Omituntun 2.0.

Governor Seyi Makinde campaign team toured the Oke-Ogun area of Oyo State earlier this week and thousands of party faithfuls, religious leaders, youths, teachers, pensioners, market woman among host of others welcomed him to the zone in a grand style.

The director general Youth Mobilisation for governor Makinde’s re-election campaign, Hon.Dr. Salami Ibraheem Oladeji ( DIKKO) as expressed his appreciation to all the people of the zone, he noted that he believes that bloc of votes for the governor will be delivered come March 11th, 2023.

In his address at Olorunsogo local government, governor Makinde informed the people about his plans regarding solid mineral exploitation to further expand the economy of the state for the benefit of all, under Omituntun 2.0.

Governor Seyi Makinde acknowledged the efforts of religious leader in the uphold of the state inter-faith affairs.

At Oorelope local government, governor Makinde met with religious leaders: traditional worshippers in Igboho Town Hall, the league of Imams led by Chief Imam, Sheikh Ismail Olanrewaju Quadri; and the Christian Association Of Nigeria (CAN) led by Rev. Dr.SA. Adediran at First Baptist Church, Igboho. He also met with traditional rulers led by HRM Oba Joel Olalere Olawuwo, Alepata Of Igboho.

Makinde assured the people of Oorelope local government that 45.3km Saki -Ogbooro-Igboho road rehabilitation would be completed during this tenure and promised to set-up a campus of Emmanuel Alayande University Of Education in the local government once the university is fully settled.

Likewise at Saki East local government, governor Seyi Makinde’s campaign rally visited Agbonle, Ago Amodu, Oje Owode, Ogbooro and Sepeteri.

Governor Seyi Makinde assured the people that under Omituntun 2.0, the ongoing Saki-Ogbooro-Igboho Road rehabilitation will be extended through Igbeti to Kisi.

He also promised the rehabilitation of Agbonle to Ogbooro Road.

“Our message to the good people of Oyo state was simple, they have seen what we have accomplished under Omituntun 1.0, Omituntun 2.0 will be an upgrade, we are grateful for their support”, Makinde stated.

He met with religious leaders: the League of Imams and Alfas led by the Chief Imam of Ago Amodu, Sheik Abdulateef Kilanko; the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) led by Pastor Adisa Michael at First Baptist Church, Ago Amodu; and traditional worshippers led by Chief Agoro Abioje Okedemi at Sepeteri.

He equally met with traditional rulers at Ago Amodu led by the Traditional Council Chairman, HRM Oba Kazeem Adio Onisanbo of Ogbooro land. Lastly, we visited the Oloje of Oje Owode land, Oba AbdulRasheed Olagbemiro who kindly conferred the title of Aare and Yeye Aare Amulutoro of Oje Owode land on the Governor and his wife

In his remark, the Youth Mobilisation Director General, Hon Dikko expressed his confidence that Omituntun 2.0 is a done deal and masses will sure enjoy the tenure to its fullness.
