While others gets busy with electioneering campaign, the federal lawmaker representing Olorunsogo/Oorelope/Irepo constituency, Hon Olumide Ojerinde boast the agriculture again, with massive constituent training and empowerment on agribusiness, cassava ends product.
This was made known during the training and empowerment of the Youths and women on modern methods of processing cassava in Oorelope, Olorunsogo and Irepo federal constituency of Oyo state.
The two days training which kick off on Monday and end on Tuesday at the Bayo Ojerinde Memorial Hall, Oke Afin, Igboho was facilitated by Honorable Olumide Abiodun Ojerinde, saw 70 beneficiaries drawn from the 3 local government.
The training which was organised by Core Value System Engineering and Consulting Limited, saw many Constituents speaking during the training.
One of the trainee, Alhaji Bukoye Moruf explain value chain as the set of actors and activities that brings a basic agricultural product from production in the field to find consumption, that is the raw materials and resources necessary to create agricultural products been distributed.
Alhaji Bukoye also use the occasion Honorable Ojerinde for bringing dividend of democracy to his constituents, He ascribing him as a God sent to his people. Urging the electorates to vote for the second term ambition of Omo olore has Honorable Ojerinde been fondly called in breaking the jinx of no second term in the old Irepo federal constituency.
Also speaking at the event, Alhaji Abdullateef who represent Honorable Olumide Abiodun ojerinde at the training, noted that this is not for a political campaign but fulfilling the promises made in 2019.
He urge the beneficiaries to make use of the training received. Facilitate the beneficiaries on the usefulness of cassava noted that cassava are process into various products such as Cassava starch, Cassava flour, Garri, Sweeteners or fuel ethanol, which could be a source of livelihood for individuals indulge in it. The training however end as the beneficiaries were given a token as take off grant.
