The Oyo State House of Assembly committee on local government and chieftaincy matters on Thursday nullified the suspension of the Soro local council development area (LCDA) Sole administrator, Hon. Oguntona Seun Olunloyo by the Atiba local government councilors, Heritage Echo reports.
The decision was taken during the presentation of the report to the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters chaired by Hon Akintunde Olajide Emmanuel (AKT), saying it’s null and void.
Recall that Hon Fadiran Sunday, leader of the house, Atiba local government legislative made this known saying Olunloyo, apart from being incompetent and negligent, is involved in alleged anti-party activities. Hon Akintunde further added that all the allegations have been verified and the said council boss is determined to deliver good governance.
Lifting the suspension order, Hon Akintunde added that the House will not relent in its resolve to ensure good governance, defend democracy and also support the efforts of the State Governor to bring democratic dividends to the people.
“We will be going on oversight functions to all the Local Government and Local Council Development Areas soon to monitor their projects. Let it be known today that the Oyo State House of Assembly will always stand on the side of the people. We shall not compromise on good governance”. AKT said
