The Ibadan Youth Progressive Indigene Association (IYPIA) has commended Oyo State Government under the Leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde on the successful recruitment and induction of 5000 graduates into the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).

In statement released and made available to Heritageecho.com, The President-General of the group, and one time National President of Federation of Ibadan Students Union (FIBSU), Aare Alao Olalekan in a statement made available to OYOMIND, described Governor Makinde as a ‘Talk and Do Man’ who has been proving beyond reasonable doubt, that he will always deliver on his campaign promises and further display the leadership qualities that God bestowed on him.

According to him, aside from the normal recruitment, the government took it upon itself to also give them adequate training to help them deliver premium service.

“Recruiting 5000 teachers at a go is something to write home about but the Gentle-Governor realized that given them training and inducting them will also help them to navigate their various departments better, he truly deserves commendation”.

In November 2020, Governor Seyi Makinde recruited, trained 2500 Amotekun personnel which cut across 351 wards in Oyo state to strengthen the security of life and properties of Oyo State people, and recent, He approved the employment of 692 Education Officers who will teach in the unity schools under the Ministry of Education as well as Technical Colleges.

The said officers have picked up their appointment letters while they were expected to assume duties at the Ministry of Education from 1st September 2021.

Currently is another ongoing Agric-Business training mainly organized for 3,300 Youths across the 33 Local Governments in the state and which he promised to extend the figure to 10,000. Almighty God has blessed Oyo State with a kind-hearted Man that believes in Youths oriented programmes and our across Oyo State should make use of these opportunities to get themselves something doing; he concluded.
