Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde today, officially inducted the newly recruited 5,000 teachers and 700 converted staff from non-teaching to teaching cadre, charged them to be dedicated and remain committed to the task before them.
He noted that education remains one of the pillara of his administration, creating opportunities and expansion of the economy adding that whatever the teachers do intheir various schools will reflect on the overall performance of his administration.
Earlier in his address, the board Chairman of Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akinade Alamu, added that the aim of the training is to ensure effective and productive performance of the students’ in WAEC and NECO examination, so as to produce quality results of investment of his excellency in the education sector.
He therefore appeal to all participants to make best use of the opportunity provided this training.
The event was graced by the deputy governor of Oyo State,. Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, former deputy Governor of Ekiti State, Professor Olusola Eleka, Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt hon Adebo Ogundoyin, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun SSG and several others.
