Hon. Olubiyi Rasheed Opeyemi has today commends the efforts of the Oyo State Government (OYSG) led by His Excellency Engr Seyi Makinde, on development projects of modern water supply system across the State.

In the course of interview with the Heritageecho.com correspondent, Hon. Olubiyi Rasheed Opeyemi who was also recently named as the Chief of Staff (CoS) to Lagelu local government, describes the ongoing administration of Governor Seyi Makinde as a “Rural-Urban Focused Government”.

In his words; “considering the pursuits and achievements of the present administration in Oyo State, we cannot agree more that the centerpiece of Engr Seyi Makinde’s government is the “rural-urban based development strategy”, underpinned by a complex interplay of development process of the urban areas, without having to compromise the growth and well-being of rural dwellers”.

“It’s a known fact, that the local population has long been faced with severe water shortages, and are long exposed to unclean waters, in fact the experience of rural dwellers to clean water supply and accessibility in Lalupon area, has been quite miserable, and has by implication compounded the compromise to health and well-being of our people in the zone, and other remote areas by extension. But with the development project of the new modern water supply system, the stresses and plights of our people will now be discontinued— This is already manifesting”.

“What I’m most grateful for however, is that this government undertakes this project of modern water supply system across localities in the State, and that our local community Lalupon area of Lagelu local government, is counted worthy in the execution of the development project”.
“I therefore on behalf of the good people of Lalupon area, register our profound gratitude to His Excellency, Engr Seyi Makinde, and the Oyo State SDG’s office, for a successful completion of the development project, in assuaging the stresses and plights of the people of Lalupon to water shortages.
” In same vein, my special regard also goes to the Executive Chairman of Lagelu local government, Hon. Gbadamosi Kazeem Adeyemi, for the demonstration of readiness and capacity by the administration, in hastening local efforts, to bringing more accessibility to clean waters for all local dwellers across the local government”.
