Seyi Makinde, governor of Oyo State, has sacked the chairman of the Oyo State Board of Internal Revenue, OYBIR, Aremo John Adeleke.

Though there is no official statement yet from the government, impeccable sources close to the administration told OYOINSIGHT.COM that the Eruwa-born technocrat was asked to go yesterday.

This newspaper however cannot confirm what led to his sack as at press time.

Multiple sources, who did not want name mentioned told OYOINSIGHT.COM that the governor would, anytime from now, ask all his commissioners and some of the special advisers to go. Most of them, they added, would not be reappointed.

“Three of the commissioners, one each from Oyo, Ibarapa and Okeogun and Ibadan may not return. Ogbomoso is likely going to have two commissioners in the new Excos about to be formed,” said one of the sources.

Investigation by OYOINSIGHT.COM showed that there is intense lobbying among politicians, especially the present members of the Excos.
