
…….As Son Donates 2.5Million for Construction of Ultra-modern Palace
A former Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde has called on Igboho indigenes, both home and abroad to renew the lost glory and contribute their quota to the development of the ancient community.


Ojerinde made the call on Saturday, June 5, 2021, during the 2nd coronation anniversary of HRM Oba Joel Olalere, the Alepata of Igboho and launching of two hundred and seventy million naira for the construction of ultra modern palace. The event took at Owode Motor Park, Igboho, Oyo State.


He however, charged the political office holders to use their offices to drive home the desired development, citing how resources were pulled to build some projects within the community by patriotic indigenes during Igboho day anniversaries which has been abandoned.

In his speech, the executive Chairman of Oorelope local government, Hon. Raheem Akeem owes a gratitude for the opportunity to serve in that capacity, pledges commitment to the welfare of the people and support for the kingdom.

Equally, the lawmaker representing Oorelope/ Olorunsogo/ Irepo federal constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Olumide Ojerinde, added that, the welfare of his constituents is his utmost priority just as he pledged a sum of ₦2.5 million, for the construction of ultra modern palace.
He attributed the bill seeking for the establishment of Higher Institution in his constituency to his love for his people and to reduce unemployment. He further urged the people of the area to shun jungle justice.
The federal lawmaker, seeks for maximum support for the present administration to curtail insecurity in the society, described security as the bedrock for economic buoyancy and development which according to him is paramount.


In his own statement at the occasion, the Alepata of Igboho, HRM Oba Joel Olalere thanks everyone who graced the occasion. He solicits for maximum support as he continue to reign on the throne of his forebears.
Dignitaries present at the occasion include Hon. Olumide Ojerinde, Sen. Fatai Buhari ( Represented), Barrister Ahmed Raji,SAN (Represented) ,Prof. Adeolu Akande ( Represented), Moses Alao, among others.
