……..As Taiwo Akanni Elected As Leader Of The House

The Executive Chairman of Oluyole local government, Idi-Ayunre, Oyo State, Honourable Popoola Settle Olaide has sworn in all the elected Councillors, as members of the legislative arms.

The eventsl took place at the local government Conference Hall, Idi-Ayunre, Oyo State.

The council boss charged the honourable councillor yo uphold principle of equity and fairness. Subsequently,  the election of principal officers of the house was also carried out through open ballot system by all the honourable members respectively thoroughly observed by respresentatives of OYSIEC (Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission) and supervised by security officers (Civil Defence, DSS and others).

After the election, HON. Isaiah of ward 06 emerge as the Leader of the house while HON. Paul Olawale Oladejo of ward 08 emerged as Deputy leader of the house respectively.

Other newly elected principal officers of the house are:

Majority Leader: Hon. Olowotokode of ward 10

Chief whip: Hon.  Omoshalewa Taiwo of ward 09

Minority Leader: Hon. Adeagbo of ward 01

Hon.Settle Olaide Popoola enjoined all principal officers of the house to be magnanimous in victory and lead the house with openess of heart and thorough use of diplomacy.
