Ex-Council Boss, Waheed Akanbi Congratulates All New Elected Council Officers, Says It’s A Victory Well Deserved

Hon. Waheed Adeniyi Akanbi, Former Caretaker Chairman and new Elected Vice Chairman of Ibadan North local Government congratulates all elected local Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councilors in 33 local government across the state in just concluded local government election on their victory as the winner of the election in their respective local government.

In his message immediately after the announcement of the results by INEC, said he
convey his hearty congratulations to all the winners on their landslides victory recorded in Saturday 22nd of May local government election in the State. He said, It is indeed a victory for all lovers of true democracy and indeed the good people of our great party and it’s a litmus test for our nascent democracy.

The People Democratic Party (PDP) are showing we are coming of age and the stage is gradually looking brighter for future elections.

He said, his special Congratulations goes to Hon. Yusuf Sahib Oladayo, the Elected Council Chairman of Ibadan North local government, while he promised emerse and undiluted support for his administration as his Vice Chairman. He prayed more wisdoms for him.

Adeniyi said they have attested to by the good people of Oyo State has earned them a well deserved victory, and it’s indeed a lesson and reminder to all political office holders to work in accordance with people-oriented programs at the grass-root levels to bring about the much desired catalyst for social and economic development.

He said It is his pleasure to congratulate them on their victory as elected Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councilors of our great State, Oyo State after months of rigorous campaigns by the various contenders for the coveted position. He rejoiced with them because Oyo State have spoken in clear terms with their votes, they have placed on them the responsibility of their franchise in trust that he would protect them and their interests within the party.

He urged everyone to be magnanimous in victory and the other aspirants should cooperate and work in harmony with them to hasten development across the State.

He appreciates the INEC official in the state, the security agencies and all those that ensured peace and orderliness towards the success of this historic primary election.

Finally, he thanked the State Governor, His Excellency Gov Seyi Makinde for his kindness and love to the people in Oyo State, as one of his promises during his campaign, by making sure the dividends of democracy is now at the doors of the grassroots, despite all the treat and intimidations from the opposition in the State. He urged everyone in the State to support his Excellency Gov Seyi Makinde for his second terms to actually all the good works he had started across the state.
