Youth Inclusion : Asiwaju Seun Fakorede Fulfilling Seyi Makinde Roadmap for Accelerated Development In Oyo State

Positive participation in governance processes is what it is refer to as the meaningful contribution of young people in every stage and at every level of governance. In fulfilling the
roadmap for accelerated development in youth from Oyo, Honourable Commissioner for youth and sports paid a working visit to Foko, Agbeni and Agbokojo Youths today, where he met youths in the communities.

Thousands of youths within the communities were so glad to see a government official within their environment as this is the first time a Commissioner for youth and sports will pay a working visit to the Foko, Agbeni and Agbokojo respectively

Fakorede reiterated that Youth constitute the bulk of our population, and designing the future or direction of our state should be done with the active participation and inclusion of young people at all levels.

The Commisoner said young people with the right mindset and experience are in abundance. If that demographic is tapped and better utilized for the best interest of the state, the better our state will be. It is his belief that Oyo State is marching towards our goal, and that is why Youth participation in governance is the priority of Govenror Seyi Makinde.

While meeting the youths in Foko, Agbeni and Agbokojo communities, Asiwaju Seun Fakorede made the youths to realise that youth participation from a broader scope should include inclusion of young people at every stage or level or governance and their needs will be communicated to appropriate quarters.

He therefore encouraged the Foko and Agbokojo Youths to made available a better location where Oyo State Government will be able to place and erect a befitting tabletennis game in the two communities.

While reacting to the goodwill message from the Honourable Commissioner for youth and sports, the youth leaders of Agbokojo and Foko Communities, Akin Oosa and Kazeem Òlè appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde on the good work he has been doing in Oyo State and also thank the Commisoner for the table tennis that will be donated to their communities. They are also hopeful that inter-community football completion that will bring the hidden talent from the young mind in their community.

The honourable commissioner for youth and sports further inform the gathering that the visit is the first of its kind as he will also make such visit to group of youths at Ibarapa, Oke Ogun, Ogbomoso and Oyo Zone as well some areas in Ibadan.
