

The Oyo State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Oyeleke AbdulLateef Idowu, has made it clear on fresh fm Political Circuit programme, ancored by Mayor Isaac Brown yesterday, that, the era of exorbitant charges on ur waste Collection is over, because the new introduction of PSP will bring more relief to the residents.
According to the report made available to Heritageecho.com by OFC PDP Media Team, Oyeleke stated that, the Bills to be paid has been categorized into Low and High Density area and depending on the volume of ur waste will determine ur bill.
Dr Oyeleke added that, “your waste at home can equally be a source of another income to you through the separation of ur waste , while the PSP operator will just come and weigh ur valuable waste and negotiate with you.


In another development, he encouraged the youths to tap from the opportunity of Awotan Dumpsite for business as many openings are being created for job seekers.
On the issue of Destitutes around the places of Ibadan, the Honourable Commissioner emphasized that, the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion is on top of the situation to address those challenges as it deals with security and cultural issue, but in a shortest distance time, The Commissioner will appear before you on the State of things.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner reiterated that, Street\Road trading still remain an offence in the State, he warned all the traders not to display their wares and goods on the street\road. He stated further that, the Environmental Officers will now be at work accross the 33 Local Governments on daily basis and not necessarily on Environmental days alone and whoever violate the rules will be sanctioned.

On a final note, Dr Oyeleke Idowu lamented on the poor attitude of Okada Riders and Micra Operators of blocking of roads that caused gridlock of motorists in most of the junctions and Bus Stops. He said that, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has ordered the Construction of Parks for Micra and Okada in places like Gate, Mokola and other places and which to be Commissioned soon.
